Designed to handle the training and operation of massive AI models, the complex covers hundreds of acres and features cutting-edge infrastructure optimized for high-density computing.
The facility will house hundreds of thousands of next-generation GPUs, interconnected through a fiber network long enough to circle the Earth several times. Construction included deep foundation drilling, miles of high-voltage cabling, and advanced cooling systems to maintain efficiency during intensive AI workloads.
Microsoft’s total investment in Wisconsin now exceeds seven billion dollars, reflecting its determination to expand Azure’s AI capabilities and compete aggressively in the global cloud market.
